About Me
Hi! I'm Jessica Spraggins.
I am a writer who has spent the past 19 years working as a Health Communications Specialist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). I received my Master of Public Health (MPH) from Yale University in 2001 and my Bachelor of Arts in Health Sciences degree from The George Washington University/Mount Vernon College in 1998.
I am passionate about issues related to parenting through trauma, surviving abuse and sexual assault, and building resilience to thrive in the world. I write about and speak on my thoughts and experiences related to all of these topics.
Though I spent many years as a single mom of 3 funny, adventurous boys, I now share a home with my husband Chris, 7 children, 3 dogs, 4 cats, 9 fish, and a bird.
